Garland McPherson II
President
Garland McPherson has provided corporate finance and investment banking services to middle market and large corporate clients for over a dozen years. He founded Garland McPherson and Associates, Inc. ("GM&A") on the principle that these clients can receive quality, value added service at a reasonable price.

Prior to founding GM&A, Garland was a commercial lending officer for both regional and national banking companies for over 20 years, as well as an officer of the State of Maryland's MIDFA (Maryland Industrial Development Financing Authority) organization.

In addition to his business activities, Garland is active in the not for profit sector, most recently being named the Chairman and President of United Presbyterian Ministries of Maryland, Inc., which provides low income housing for the elderly primarily in the city of Baltimore.

James W. Morrissey, MBA, ABV
Senior Vice President - Business Valuation
Mr. Morrissey has developed or reviewed over 400 business valuation conclusions and financial analyses for estate tax planning, employee stock ownership plans, ownership transfer strategies, stock options, buy/sell agreements, mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, and asset protection planning purposes. The equity valuations have included common stock, preferred stock, member interests, limited partnership interests, and general partnership interests.

He earned the ABV, Accredited in Business Valuation, designation by the American Institute of CPAs, and holds a Certified Public Accountant certificate from Pennsylvania. Mr. Morrissey holds a Master of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Indiana University. He authored the AICPA course manual on business valuation research to develop supportable opinions of value.

John A. "Buddy" Howard, CFA, ASA
Senior Vice President - Business Valuation
Buddy Howard has more than 30 years of experience as a valuation and financial analyst. He also publishes contract financial reports on approximately 15 publicly traded companies, principally in the banking sector, and provides investor relations services.

Mr. Howard has completed more than 200 valuation assignments, covering a wide variety of industries, and has served as an expert witness in the area of business valuation approximately 30 times. Mr. Howard has also been a financial advisor to many community banks and has, on multiple occasions, been listed in U.S. Banker as one of the 50 largest merger and acquisition advisors in the nation.

Mr. Howard completed his MBA at the University of South Carolina. He has achieved his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute and his Accredited Senior Appraiser designation (ASA) from the American Society of Appraisers. He holds a Series 7 (General Securities), Series 24 (General Securities Principal), and Series 86/87 (Research Analyst) licenses.

Among them are individuals who have played key roles with firms such as J.P. Morgan; Peat, Marwick; The Integon Companies & Wachovia Bank. Degrees and certifications include CPA, MBA in Finance, MBA in Corporate Strategy, MS in Economics and MS in Finance.
